June Lee

Born and raised in Hong Kong, June Lee moved to the United States as a teenager and was introduced to ceramics in the eleventh grade. She fell in love with clay immediately and dreamt about becoming a full time ceramicist and educator one day. The art journey was not easy for her, as she first had to pursue a business degree to fulfill the expectations of her family. During the years that she worked in the corporate world, Lee started to take ceramic classes at a local pottery school to keep her art life lively.

In 2018, Lee’s dream of becoming a full time artist came true. Lee is a resident artist at Mudflat Pottery studio and a ceramic instructor at various local pottery studios. Her work is distinguished by its whimsy and joy; bursting with color and infused with nature, Lee’s hand painted ceramics reflect her heritage and the history of Hong Kong. She has exhibited her hand painted ceramics at LexArt and CraftBoston.
